MMSU-CHS and Grandison open global pathways for the KaPTids

The Mariano Marcos State University College of Health Sciences (MMSU-CHS) hosted the North Luzon leg of Grandison’s “Grit to Greatness” Roadshow on July 14, 2026, welcoming the international healthcare staffing firm to Batac at the invitation of CHS Dean Dr. Cheryll Didi Nellie N. Obra and Department of Physical Therapy Chair Prof. Gerald Lester A. Caoili.

The engagement opens a direct line between MMSU’s physical therapy graduates and the global career pathways increasingly available to Filipino PTs, and it arrives at a defining moment for the College.

A day earlier, on July 13, 2026, the Department of Physical Therapy gathered at MMSU-Teatro Ilocandia for a Thanksgiving and Testimonial Program honoring 64 newly registered Physical Therapists who hurdled the June 2026 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination (PTLE) with a 92.75% passing rate — placing MMSU Top 2 among top performing schools in the Philippines. Also in attendance in the said event is Grandison, as representatives expressed their well wishes to the passers

It is that track record of three national placements from a single cohort that continues to draw world-class partners to the College’s doorstep.

A partnership built for professional growth

For institutions like MMSU-CHS, aligning with an established healthcare recruitment partner gives graduates a clearer view of an increasingly globalized profession, and a realistic map of what a U.S. career actually requires.

We are honored to be invited by Dean Obra and Prof. Caoili to spend time with the KaPTids,” said Carol Dizon of Caves Treasures Manpower and Construction Corporation, Grandison’s partner recruitment agency in the Philippines.

A 92.75% passing rate and three topnotchers is not luck, that is a department that has built something. Schools have become far more selective about who they let speak to their students, and we do not take it lightly that MMSU recognizes the value of the Grandison Gold Standard. This is a partnership built on mutual trust and a shared vision for these graduates.

Excellence through the Grandison Gold Standard

The Grandison Gold Standard anchored the day’s discussions, mapping out the preparation and end-to-end support Filipino PTs need to navigate the U.S. pathway, from credentialing and documentation to the professional realities of American clinical settings.

Students also heard why a Grandison review so often points to the same three things: transparency, strong support systems, and a commitment to long-term career placement rather than one-time deployment.

Prof. Gerald Lester A. Caoili, PTRP, Department Chair of Physical Therapy, underscored why the relationship matters to the College.

Prof Caoili of MMSU

We tell our students that grit is what carries you through the years no one sees, the reviews, the returns, the early mornings. So the name of this roadshow resonated with us. Our KaPTids have already proven the grit; what they need now is clarity about the road ahead. The Grandison feedback we have received from colleagues, and the support we have seen extended to Filipino therapists, reassure us that we are pointing our graduates toward a partner willing to answer their questions directly. This partnership ensures our graduates are not just ready for licensure, they are ready for the global stage.

Student success and future aspirations

The roadshow drew an enthusiastic response from the KaPTids, with students citing Grandison’s track record as a source of confidence in charting their own paths.

By laying out a clear roadmap to the U.S., including the questions every graduate should ask before signing with any agency.

The initiative helps future PTs see their professional future not as a distant dream but as a plan.

The outstanding achievement of the KaPTids exemplifies the College of Health Sciences’ commitment to nurturing future healthcare professionals who strive not only to excel academically but also to serve with compassion, integrity, and purpose.

As the College continues to produce board topnotchers and competent practitioners, it remains steadfast in its mission of shaping healthcare leaders equipped to succeed, inspire and make a lasting difference in the lives of the communities they serve.

As MMSU-CHS celebrates its newest topnotchers, the partnership stands as a promise to the cohorts that follow: the College will keep building relationships with world-class organizations, ensuring the legacy of Filipino Physical Therapy excellence continues to reach new heights on the global stage.
